The Regina Pats pick Connor Bedard first overall in the 2020 WHL draft

The Regina Pats Hockey Club selected forward Connor Bedard, first overall in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft on Wednesday and that the 15-year-old has signed a WHL Standard Player Agreement with the club.

The Pats secured the first overall selection in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft Lottery on March 25, 2020.

Connor Bedard (from Vancouver, B.C.) played midget hockey as a 14-year-old last season, scoring 43 goals and 84 points in 36 games with West Van Academy of the CSSHL. He led the league with his 43 goals and 84 points and was named the CSSHL Most Valuable Player

He is the first exceptional status player in WHL history.
